WHAT IS A RIBBON CUTTING?
A ribbon cutting marks the ceremonial opening of a new, renovated, or relocated business. Whether it’s the official first day or a celebration following a soft opening, it’s a free event open to the public to share in the business’s special moment.
At a ribbon cutting, business owners often take a few minutes to speak about their journey, share insights into the process, and express gratitude to those who supported them—whether financial backers, employees, family, or business partners. It’s also a perfect complement to grand opening celebrations.
Members of the Chamber can schedule ribbon cuttings at no cost, while non-members are welcome to inquire about hosting one for a fee.
